Overview
A crisp, juicy Southern Rhône-inspired rosé from Yangarra Estate’s elevated vineyard in Blewitt Springs. Led by Mourvèdre and Grenache, the blend offers vibrant red-fruit aromatics, refreshing acidity and subtle texture from short lees ageing and seasoned French oak maturation.
Yangarra Estate specialises in southern Rhône varieties grown across its certified organic and biodynamic McLaren Vale property, where altitude, ancient geology, ironstone-rich sandy soils and maritime influence contribute freshness and clarity.
Blend
The 2025 blend comprises 53% Mourvèdre, 41% Grenache, 4% Counoise, 1% Carignan and 1% Cinsault.
Vintage
The 2025 season was the driest recorded for the region, resulting in very low yields and small berries with concentrated flavour. A relatively warm February brought a compact ripening period, while the fruit retained vibrant natural acidity and notable intensity.
Winemaking
The varieties were hand-picked, individually pressed into tank and settled. The clear juice was racked to stainless steel for cool fermentation, then aged on lees in stainless steel for two months. Final maturation took place in seasoned French oak barrels, bringing the total maturation period to five months before blending and bottling in September 2025.
