Overview
Small Wonder Landscape Riesling 2025 brings together fruit from the Tamar Valley and Coal River Valley to create a precise expression of cool-climate Tasmanian Riesling. Luminous and energetic, it combines purity and fine-boned structure with a vibrant lemon-citrus drive and naturally high acidity.
Vintage & Vineyard
The 2025 wine is a blend of multiple Riesling clones sourced from Small Wonder's Tamar Valley and Coal River Valley vineyards. The Tamar Valley vineyard is ACO certified organic, while the Coal River Valley vineyard is currently in conversion to certified organic. Fruit was harvested over several days in early April.
Winemaking
The grapes were gently whole-bunch pressed to tank before the juice was cold settled and racked clean to stainless steel. Fermentation took place at cool temperatures with aromatic yeast and continued until dry. The individual components were then matured on lees for four months before final blending in tank. No oak was used.
Tasting Notes
Lifted citrus leads a pure, precise and energetic palate with excellent clarity and a linear, crystalline drive. Juicy lemon-citrus characters are carried by fine-boned structure and bright acidity, delivering a slender and distinctly cool-climate Tasmanian expression.
