The 2025 Craggy Range Te Muna Road Sauvignon Blanc is a refined and mineral-driven expression of Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc from Craggy Range. Sourced from the renowned Te Muna Road vineyards, this wine showcases the precision, freshness, and textural complexity that have made the site one of New Zealand’s benchmark Sauvignon Blanc vineyards.
Located on ancient river terraces in Martinborough, the Te Muna Road vineyard combines free-draining gravel soils with limestone-rich clay, producing Sauvignon Blanc of aromatic intensity and striking mineral tension. The cool climate and extended growing season of the 2025 vintage allowed for slow ripening and exceptional flavour development while preserving vibrant natural acidity.
In the winery, fruit was harvested in multiple passes to capture both bright citrus freshness and riper tropical complexity. Fermentation took place primarily in stainless steel, with a small portion fermented in seasoned oak and matured on lees to add texture and subtle savoury depth.
The wine opens with lifted aromas of lime zest, grapefruit, passionfruit, and white peach, layered with hints of fresh herbs, crushed stone, and delicate florals. The palate is crisp and energetic, balancing juicy citrus and tropical fruit with fine acidity and a long, saline, mineral-driven finish.
