The 2024 Moss Wood Amy’s Cabernet Blend is a vibrant and approachable Margaret River red blend presented in a convenient 375ml half bottle format. Produced by Moss Wood, this wine captures the elegance, balance, and regional character that define the Moss Wood style while offering youthful drinkability and versatility.
Crafted primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon with complementary Bordeaux varieties, Amy’s Cabernet Blend is sourced from premium vineyards in Margaret River’s renowned Wilyabrup subregion. The maritime climate and gravelly soils of the region provide ideal conditions for slow ripening, helping to preserve freshness while building flavour concentration and fine tannin structure.
The 2024 vintage delivered fruit with excellent purity and vibrancy. In the winery, parcels were fermented separately with careful extraction to maintain varietal definition and balance. Maturation in French oak barrels added subtle spice and texture while allowing the fruit-driven character to remain the focus.
The wine opens with expressive aromas of blackcurrant, red cherry, and plum, layered with hints of cedar, dried herbs, and gentle spice. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, offering bright dark berry fruit, fine tannins, and lively acidity leading into a smooth, savoury finish.
