“Deep ruby with purple tint at the rim. Mulberry, ironstone and nori on the nose. Palate has wonderful weight and intensity, plush purple and blue fruits are layered with ironstone minerality, dark chocolate oak notes and hints of black spices. Great length, tannins supple but driving it long and filling their roll well to the finish”

“Aromas of dark cherries, plums, blueberries, tobacco leaves, cedar and lifted spices. The palate is full-bodied with finely grained tannins and a rounded mouthfeel, giving flavors of blackberries, mulberry bush and coffee beans. Nicely weighted and silky smooth. 35% of its fruit is sourced from high-elevation Eden Valley vineyards. Drink or hold. Screw cap.”
About This Wine
Shiraz 100% sourced from old vineyards in the Krondorf, Light Pass, Marananga, Tanunda and Eden Valley regions of the Barossa.
Fermentation with submerged cap in both traditional old open and small stainless steel fermenters.
100% barrel maturation for 17 months with 35% new fine grain French oak and the balance; 2, 3 and 4 year old French and American oak hogsheads (300 litres). Some batches finished fermentation in new barrels.
