Overview
Chris Ringland Dimchurch Shiraz is a powerful, barrel-selected Northern Barossa Shiraz from the Hoffmann Vineyard collaboration, sourced from old vines around Ebenezer. Adrian Hoffmann, fifth-generation Barossa vigneron, selects individual parcels from his family and neighbouring Shiraz vineyards across the growing season, with Chris Ringland guiding the wine through long maturation and final classification.
The 2016 vintage is dense, opulent and deeply expressive, showing the richness and intensity that define the Hoffmann Vineyard partnership. This release is described as showy and ready to enjoy with 2 to 4 hours in a decanter, while retaining serious long-term cellaring potential.

Sourced from Adrian Hoffmann's Ebenezer Shiraz holdings, this barrel-selected Dimchurch shows deep crimson colour, macerated satsuma plum, blackberry jam, blackberry confit, purple florals, liquorice, spice, cassis and thick, powerful tannins. A supercharged northern Barossa Shiraz with immense density and intensity.
Winemaking
The grapes are gently destemmed and vinified in small individual batches. After 24 months in oak, a preliminary barrel tasting and classification is made, then repeated every 6 months until the final blends are determined and Dimchurch is ready for bottling.
The Hoffmann Vineyard wines can spend up to six years in barrel before bottling. For the 2016 vintage, 6160 bottles, 200 magnums, 12 double magnums and 8 imperials were filled.
