The 2013 Yeringberg Pinot Noir is a refined and classically styled Yarra Valley Pinot Noir, showcasing elegance, structure, and the hallmark restraint of one of the region’s most respected family estates. Produced by Yeringberg, this wine reflects a traditional approach focused on balance, vineyard expression, and graceful ageing.
Sourced from estate vineyards in the Yarra Valley, the 2013 vintage provided ideal conditions for slow, even ripening, resulting in fruit with excellent purity, natural acidity, and fine tannin structure. Yeringberg’s philosophy of low yields and careful vineyard management ensures concentration without excess weight, a defining feature of the house style.
In the winery, fruit was hand-harvested and gently fermented to preserve aromatics and finesse. Extraction was kept moderate to maintain delicacy, and maturation took place in French oak barrels, including a portion of new oak, adding subtle complexity and integration while allowing the fruit to remain the focus.
With over a decade of bottle age, the wine now displays a beautifully evolved profile. Aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, and dried cranberry are layered with notes of forest floor, dried leaves, spice, and subtle savoury nuance. The palate is medium-bodied and finely textured, with resolved tannins, bright acidity, and a long, gentle finish that reflects both maturity and site.
