The vineyard has been farmed biodynamically from the beginning and is fully certified organic and biodynamic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe soils are primarily decomposed granitic-loam with quartz particles over a clay base, and the climate is continental, with hot days and cool nights during the growing season. The vineyard is hand-pruned and the fruit is hand-picked, cropped at a little under two tons per acre.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWinemaking is traditional, using only indigenous vineyard yeasts with minimal intervention. Élevage varies between 18 and 20 months in tight-grain French oak, with approximately half new oak each year.
