The estate produces a range of labels predominantly based on the local mainstay, Pinot Noir, but a number of other wines from neighboring appellations, as well as other grapes (Chardonnay and Aligoté), are also made.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Bouley's can trace their Burgundian winegrowing roots back to the 14th Century and the modern domaine is partly composed of holdings passed down via François Bouley and son Christian Bouley (Jean-Marc Bouley's father). Although Jean-Marc Bouley established his eponymous domaine in 1974, some of these family holdings came under his control ten years later.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe estate now covers over eight hectares (21 acres) with vines predominantly in and around Volnay.
