This vintage features an almost equal blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes.

Vintage Notes
The 2006 vintage emerged from a year marked by extreme and unpredictable weather patterns. Throughout the year, the climate shifted dramatically from one extreme to another. Fortunately, both spring and summer were predominantly hot and dry. Thanks to the dedication of one hundred seasonal workers who toiled daily for three full months, the winemaker was able to patiently wait for each grape variety to reach its optimal ripeness.

Winemaking
The Larrieu family's goal, as former owners of the Château, was to capture the aromatic richness of a sweet wine in a dry style. Their vision has been realized. The vineyard's vines are composed of 52.6% Sémillon and 47.4% Sauvignon Blanc. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels for 9 to 12 months, with half of the barrels being new. Château Haut-Brion Blanc typically produces between 450 and 650 cases annually.

Drinking Window: 2009-2035

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0956/5483/8635/files/1999_Chateau_Haut-Brion_Blanc_750ml_f1ef2b7e-5832-4812-a541-d1d31094f0f4.jpg?v=1767588398
